GeoCSV Mapper - Fast CSV georeferencing
A tool for quickly mapping and georeferencing CSV files and Excel spreadsheets in QGIS.
GeoCSV Mapper, developed together with surveyor Luca Casti, is the bridge between spreadsheets and cartography in QGIS. Its key strength is universal parsing of sexagesimal (DMS) formats, typical of topographic surveys, with a preview on an OpenStreetMap map before import.
It includes real-time encoding checks to prevent character corruption in CSV/Excel files, and exports directly to the high-performance OGC GeoPackage format.
Key Features
Universal DMS parsing
Automatically recognizes and converts sexagesimal coordinates (degrees, minutes, seconds) from CSV and Excel files.
OSM map preview
Verify georeferenced points on an OpenStreetMap base before completing the import into your project.
Real-time encoding check
Prevents special character corruption when importing CSV and Excel files.
GeoPackage export
Saves the imported data directly in OGC GeoPackage format, ready for use in QGIS.
