Important Note

I am not a geologist and I do not perform hydrogeological risk assessments. My role is to provide technological and cartographic support to licensed professionals (geologists, geotechnical engineers) who carry out the technical analyses.

I offer: drone surveys, GIS data processing, production of thematic mapping, and development of WebGIS platforms for monitoring. Responsibility for the technical assessments remains with the qualified professionals.

Context

Hydrogeological Risk in Calabria

Calabria is among the Italian regions most exposed to hydrogeological risk. According to ISPRA data, over 90% of Calabrian municipalities have areas at risk of landslide or flooding. The mountainous terrain, complex geology and intense weather events demand constant land monitoring.

Professionals engaged in these activities – geologists, engineers, public bodies – need modern mapping tools and up-to-date territorial data. This is where my technology support comes in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you provide a landslide risk assessment?

No, I am not a geologist and I do not perform risk assessments. I provide technology support (surveys, mapping, GIS) to the geologists and engineers who carry out the analyses. Technical responsibility remains with the licensed professional.

What type of drone do you use for surveys?

I use DJI drones from the Mavic and Phantom series, with ENAC category A2 certification. For surveys requiring greater precision, I can use RTK systems. All flights are carried out in compliance with current regulations.

Can I get the data in shapefile format?

Yes, all data is delivered in standard GIS formats: Shapefile, GeoPackage, GeoJSON, GeoTIFF for rasters. These formats are compatible with QGIS, ArcGIS and any other professional GIS software.

How much does a drone survey cost?

The cost depends on the area's extent, the required resolution and the final deliverables. A basic survey for a 1-2 hectare area starts at €300-500. Contact me for a free, personalized quote.
